Abstract The construction industry is responsible for a significant portion of the solid waste that industrialised nations dispose each year. One reason this low rates reuse and recycling, largely due to difficulties in deconstructing buildings an inability easily separate materials components. If were designed facilitate deconstruction easier separation parts, then future material component recovery would be easier. Previous research into historic examples has identified numerous principles design disassembly. This paper presents expands on understanding disassembly though application these architectural projects.
